Take Gavilan College Community Education classes for fun and profit

WHO: Community members seeking to learn new skills or just have fun.

WHAT: Can enroll in low-cost, short-term, not-for-credit classes through Community Education. Classes are offered for both adults and kids in a variety of topics. New classes this fall include a Medical Billing Training program, Suzuki Violin, Spanish for the Workplace, and business series in Marketing and Customer Service. Returning favorites include Human Resources Management, Baby Boomers: Get Up and get Active, Cooking for Adults and Kids, Interior Design, Notary Public, voice Acting, and a conference on Writing, Publishing, and Marketing Your first Book. Kids in grades 4-8 can enjoy hands-on exploration with Scientific Saturdays. In addition, over 250 online courses are offered in a wide range of subjects.

WHEN: Classes are held September through December, with varying start times.

WHERE: Classes are held at the Gilroy campus, at Young Chefs' Academy, and online.

HOW: Catalogs will be mailed to all district residents and businesses this week. A complete schedule is also available online. Register by mail, phone, fax, in person or online.
