The Library is open: Monday - Thursday 8am-8pm, Fridays 8am-3pm

Jeremiah Ridgeway is a native of Tucson, Arizona. At the age of 22 he enlisted in the US Army as a 19 Delta (Cavalry Scout). In February of 2006, shortly after arriving at this duty station in Fort Drum, NY (10th Mountain Division), his unit, 3-71 Cavalry, was deployed to Afghanistan.

While deployed, Ridgeway's unit saw fierce combat in the mountains of Nuristan Province. His unit's deployment was captured in the pages of Jake Tapper's 2012 release The Outpost. During the harsh 15-month deployment Ridgeway captured over 10,000 images. He broke three different cameras in the process.

After returning to Fort Drum, NY in July 2007, Ridgeway submitted a number of photos to National Geographic (NG). He was later published and became the subject of an Emmy-nominated interview produced by NG.

Ridgeway was honorably discharged from the US Army in July 2008 and moved to Santa Cruz, CA to attend college at Cabrillo. In July 2014, Jeremiah Ridgeway graduated Cum Laude from San Jose State University with a degree in Business Management. Ridgeway now   lives with his girlfriend in Dickinson, North Dakota. They have started a photography business together.
