BIO10:  PRIN BIOLOGY L/L


Course Description

An introductory biology course covering functions at the cellular and organismal levels. Includes study of the basic principles of metabolism, heredity, evolution and ecology. Primarily for non-biological science majors. ADVISORY: Eligible for English 250, English 260 and Mathematics 205.


Learning Outcomes

  • The student will describe and explain the processes and structures common to all living things.
  • The student will explain how the process of evolution has resulted in both the similarities and differences between all living things.
  • The student will explain the basic processes that drive and shape an ecosystem.
  • The student will demonstrate an ability to use a compound light microscope and other laboratory equipment.
